Community Groups Help The Lending Cupboard Reach Their Goal
As The Lending Cupboard comes to the end of its budget year on June 30th, they give thanks to so many individuals that have made personal donations this year. Thanks as well to the ladies that attended the Ladies Luncheon which netted the organization $5,500 this year. There have been many service clubs and grants that have contributed to the goal as well.
Today The Lending Cupboard wants to give recognition and thanks to two organizations that announced contributions last week.
The Red Deer Kinsmen have announced a $3,000 contribution to the cause as well as the Sylvan Lake Community Endowment Fund made a contribution of $3,000 to the Lending Operations to support people served in the Sylvan Lake area.
In a slower economic period The Lending Cupboard continues to see its organization grow with an increase in their client base as well as a rising cost to keep the Cupboard full and the doors open. As a charity that depends on the generosity of the communities in the region to serve the residents of central Alberta they are thankful for each and every dollar received. Corporate funding has been slower this year but as the Cupboard is coming nearer to their target every day they hope they can successfully announce that they met that mark!
