Social Media Threat Results in Criminal Charges

  • On December 1, 2017, Lacombe Police Service was notified by Lacombe Composite High School staff
    of a threat that was shared on social media.

    Two youths who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act were arrested and face charges
    of Uttering Threats and Mischief.

    The situation was resolved without incident and at no time were the staff and students at risk.

  • Leduc RCMP make arrest following gun shot complaint

    Leduc County, Alberta – On May 23, following complaints of a gun shot fired, the RCMP in Leduc located, pursued, arrested and charged a male suspect.

    At 3:22 p.m. a 911 call was received that two males were arguing on a rural road and a gun shot was fired.  The unfolding incident began when the suspect male assaulted a female.  The female victim ran and sought assistance from an uninvolved motorist.  The male driver of the assisting motorist confronted the suspect male who then pointed his gun at this driver, and fired a shot into the air.  The male suspect smashed the vehicle’s passenger side window and made efforts to remove the female from the vehicle. 

    The RCMP responded and located the suspect male who fled in his vehicle.  A short pursuit ensued into an open field where the suspect was arrested.  As a result of a search of the suspect’s vehicle, a 9mm handgun was seized.

    The 21-year-old female victim was not seriously injured during this incident.

    21-year-old Abduarrhman Abuoun has been charged with assault, mischief under $5,000, pointing a firearm at a person, careless use of a firearm, and three other firearms related offences.  He remains in custody, and is scheduled to appear in court in Leduc on Monday May 28, 2018.

    Rocky Mountain House RCMP Continue to Search for Wanted Man

  • Rocky Mountain House, Alberta – The RCMP continue to require public assistance in locating 21-year-old Cruz Bigchild.

    Public tips have been received but to date, his location has not been confirmed.  It is likely that someone knows his whereabouts and can help the RCMP.

     

    Bigchild is described as:

    –          First Nation

    –          5’5” tall

    –          Slim build – 145 pounds

    –          Black hair

    –          Brown Eyes

    If you have information about the location of Cruz Bigchild, please call the Rocky Mountain House RCMP at 403-845-2882 or your local police department.  The RCMP advise that you not approach Bigchild, rather contact the police to advise of his whereabouts.

    Rocky Mountain House RCMP seek public assistance in locating wanted men – Update

    Rocky Mountain House, Alberta – The RCMP have located and arrested Shaeden Muskeg on his outstanding arrest warrant.  His name and photo can be removed from social media.

    21-year-old Cruz Bigchild is still being sought by the RCMP.

    Rocky Mountain House RCMP seek public assistance in locating two wanted men

    Rocky Mountain House, Alberta – The RCMP are actively trying to locate two males who are wanted on arrest warrants, and are considered to be a danger to the public.  Public assistance is being sought in locating them.

    21-year-old Cruz Bigchild is wanted on a warrant for arrest for charges stemming out of Rocky Mountain House.

    18-year-old Shaeden Muskeg is wanted on an arrest warrant for charges stemming out of a break enter that occurred in Drayton Valley on April 15.

    Both men are believed to be on either the Sunchild or O’Chiese First Nation and are believed to be actively evading the RCMP.
