Local Senior pegged for being small minded

Red Deer retiree Jock Mackenzie makes cribbage boards from locally-sourced wood and donates them to area charities. He has always carved the little crib pegs but has recently been adding minute wording. On one crib peg he wrote: It is difficult to indoctrinate superannuated canines with innovative manoeuvres. Other pegs have sayings: Sometimes you’re the windshield; sometimes you’re the bug. His latest sets of three pegs have limericks: There once was a lady from Niger, Who smiled as she rode on a tiger, They came back from the ride, With the lady inside, And the smile on the face of the tiger.
Here’s a short video that showcases some of the fine craftsmanship of these cribbage boards.
Jock donates his work to a variety of organizations that raise money for worthy causes. He’s supported Cosmos for a Books on the Bus raffle (people who donate books get a chance to win a crib board), the Hospice, Toastmasters Convention, MS Society. If you think that your charitable organization might benefit from one of these beautiful cribbage boards as a means to raise funds, you can reach Jock at 403.357-4895. You can also reach Jock by emailing [email protected].
