Rimbey RCMP looking for this suspect

    Following the report of a suspicious incident on January 19, the RCMP have obtained a composite sketch of the suspect male and are looking for assistance to identify the male. During the day on the 19th, an unknown male entered a residence uninvited and when confronted by the homeowner, left without incident.

    The RCMP continue to investigate this incident, as well as an armed robbery that occurred later the same day.  It has not been established yet whether the two are connected.

    Attached is a copy of the composite sketch obtained from the homeowner.  Copies of photos of the suspects in the armed robbery (earlier provided to media) are also attached.

    BACKGROUND from Jan. 21, 2019  Rimbey RCMP investigating armed robbery

    Rimbey, Alta. – The RCMP are investigating an armed robbery which occurred January 19, 2019 at the Rimbey Liquor Store.  Public assistance is being sought in identifying the suspect responsible.

    At 8:28 p.m., RCMP responded to a 911 call regarding an armed robbery that had just occurred.  One suspect entered the liquor store, pointed what is believed to be a handgun and made off with cash in a bag. The suspect also took a box containing funds for a charity. The male suspect fled on foot, and no vehicle was seen.

    The clerk working at the time of the incident was not injured.

    The description of the suspect is as follows:

    –          Male with brown eyes / black skin

    –          Approximately 5’10” tall

    –          Wearing a dark hoodie, grey pants and white gloves

    –          Carrying a green/grey bag

    Earlier in the day, a suspicious incident occurred where a male entered a residence uninvited and then left without incident when confronted by the homeowner.  In that incident a male with black skin left the home in a black truck.  The RCMP are working to determine if the incidents may be linked.

    Innisfail RCMP arrest two after pursuit

  • Innisfail, Alta –

    On Februrary 13, 2019 at approximately 430 pm Innisfail RCMP responded to a report of a robbery at the ATB bank in Innisfail.   During this investigation a member on patrol observed a stolen tow truck and felt the driver matched the description of the suspect from the bank robbery.  Innisfail RCMP engaged in a coordinated pursuit with the vehicle, utilizing resources from, Blackfalds RCMP, Red Deer RCMP, Innisfail ITU, and Red Deer police dog services.   A tire deflation device was deployed and ultimately disabled the vehicle in Red Deer City.  The occupants of the vehicle fled on foot attempting to take another vehicle with force, however they were unsuccessful and continued to flee police on foot.  Red Deer police dog services were successful in apprehending both individuals.  The ongoing investigation into the bank robbery indicates at this point that neither of these two individuals appear to be involved in the initial bank robbery however both are facing numerous unrelated charges.

    Isaiah NOBLE (20 years) of Red Deer Alta. Has been charged with:

    • Robbery (attempted theft of vehicle)
    • Possess stolen property over $5000
    • Possess weapon dangerous to the public
    • Fail to comply with probation order X3

    NOBLE has been remanded pending a bail hearing scheduled for Feb 19, 2019 930 am Red Deer Provincial Court

     

    Peter George WALKER (33yrs) of Innisfail Alta.  Has been charged with:

    • Robbery (attempted theft of vehicle)
    • Possess stolen property over $5000
    • Flight from police
    • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
    • Possess controlled substance
    • Possess weapon dangerous to the public
    • Fail to comply with recognizance X5
    • Drive while disqualified

    WALKER has been remanded pending a bail hearing scheduled for Feb 19, 2019 at 930 am Red Deer Provincial Court

    RCMP is still seeking information from the public about the Robbery at the ATB in Innisfail.

    Maskwacis RCMP seize firearms, cocaine during search warrants

    Maskwacis RCMP executed three search warrants on the Ermineskin and Samson First Nations between February 12 and February 13, 2019, resulting in the seizure of multiple firearms, drugs, and ammunition.

    Maskwacis Community Response Unit (CRU), Police Dog Services and General Duty members from the Maskwacis Detachment collaborated to execute a search warrant for firearms in rural Samson. In addition to locating and seizing firearms, police seized ammunition, drug paraphernalia and a small amount of crack cocaine. 30 year-old Robbie Redcrow, of Samson First Nation, has been charged with 8 counts relating to the items seized.

    Two search warrants were executed in the Ermineskin Townsite, both resulting in the seizure of cocaine and methamphetamine. Charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act are pending in both cases.

    “These searches are an example of targeted, intelligence-led investigations leading to the successful removal of drugs and firearms from the streets,” said Sgt. Gary Maclaren of the Maskwacis Community Response Unit. “Our members gather intelligence and build relationships in the community as part of our larger crime reduction strategy.”
