Red Deer’s Newest Fire Station Opens Today!

Today marks the official Grand Opening of Red Deer’s newest fire station. This means you’re invited to take part in the celebration by attending an Open House from 3:00 – 7:00 pm at Fire Station # 3 in the Lancaster neighbourhood. The City of Red Deer has provided all the details you need to know:

“Red Deer Emergency Services is inviting the community to join the celebration for the official opening of the new Fire Station #3 in Lancaster on Wednesday.

The celebration will run from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26 at the new Fire Station #3 at 100 Lees Street in Lancaster. The event is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

An official opening ceremony will start at 3 p.m. and a free community barbeque will start at 4 p.m. until supplies last. The community is invited to come and celebrate with:

  • Guided Fire Station tours
  • Sparky the Fire Dog
  • Emergency Services vehicles and equipment
  • Face painting
  • Family friendly activities
  • Interactive learning stations about home safety, fire prevention and emergency preparedness, and 911 and dispatch.

Attendees are asked to please park at Notre Dame High School or at the Collicutt Centre. A portion of Lees St will be closed at 30 Avenue for the event.”
