Jordanna Cota – 2017 Women of Excellence Nominee

Jordanna Cota will never forget the 2016 – 2017 school year. Academically this marked the mid way point of Jordanna’s nursing program. Athletically, it was an incredible year! Jordanna Cota started the cross country running season ranked 13th in Alberta. She outperformed expectations and sky rocketed to a silver medal finish in the ACAC championship. Then she went on to lead her team to silver medal nationally, finishing 6th at the Canadian College Championships.
Jordanna is not only an inspiration to her teammates. She was invited to speak to a city wide gathering of grade 5 female students this year. Then, to top it all off, she was named Female Athlete of the Year at Red Deer College. Well actually there is one more thing… Jordanna Cota has been nominated as a 2017 Woman of Excellence in Red Deer!
