Fairview presents free concert featuring Randi Boulton
Fairview Elementary School and a local singer/songwriter are hosting a free community concert this month, and families are invited to take in the fun.
Fairview is proud to host a concert at the school grounds (5901 55 St., Red Deer) on September 17 from 1-3 p.m. featuring music by local singer/songwriter Randi Boulton.
“Collaborating with our friends at the Riverside Meadow Community Association, we are thrilled to bring you this free opportunity to be entertained, build relationships and showcase our community as a place of belonging,” said Teresa Tataryn, Principal at Fairview Elementary School.
According to Randi’s bio, “The Incredible Randi Boulton, as Canadian rock icon Tom Cochrane calls her, is a powerhouse singer, one whose voice seriously parallels those of her musical motivators: Melissa Etheridge, Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt, Jewel, as well as fellow Canadians Jann Arden, Serena Ryder, and Sarah McLachlan, and often finds herself compared to Adele.”
The concert is open to all ages and families are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and attend.
“As the school year begins, our goal is to ensure a sense of belonging,” said Teresa. “With International Welcome In Week falling at the same time, we are encouraging our community to get to know one another and build relationships. It is the coming together of the community that fosters school success!”

From giving kids a Bright Start to school to reconnecting with students so they graduate and cross the Finish Line, the Foundation helps students who face challenges in school and makes things better. We motivate struggling students and inspire them to read and write through Reading College. For students who come to school without basic needs, we give them that needed Step Up.
