Red Deer chosen for Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour – comment from Mayor Tara Veer

Mayor congratulates community for being chosen as Rogers Hometown Hockey destination
(Red Deer, Alberta)
“On behalf of Red Deer City Council and the City of Red Deer, we are honoured for Red Deer to be selected as an official stop on the 2019/2020 Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour.
Like many communities across Alberta, we are facing economic and safety challenges, but this is an opportunity for us to come together to build community life through celebration with our friends, family and neighbours, and to build on the momentum we have as a sport tourism destination.
Red Deerians, as we once again welcome our fellow Canadians to Red Deer, we look forward to celebrating with all of you November 30 and December 1.”
