Community invited to meet the Red Deer Rebels and give back to kids
Are you a fan of the Red Deer Rebels who likes to support a great cause?
Annie L. Gaetz Elementary School and the Red Deer Rebels have held a strong partnership for 31 years, and next week, the community is invited to attend an event which will benefit kids through the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation.
The event will take place October 25 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Indigo, 5250 22 St. #10 Red Deer.
“We are excited to invite our families, as well as the community to Indigo for this fundraising event,” said Principal Deanne Good. “Fans will have the unique opportunity to meet and greet their favourite players, as the Rebels will be signing autographs and taking photos with attendees. This promises to be an unforgettable experience for all hockey enthusiasts.”
Annie L. Gaetz Elementary School is proud to be a selected school for the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation, which aims to enrich the lives of students by promoting literacy and access to quality books. At the event, the community is invited to contribute to this essential cause and help foster a love of reading among young students through donations that will be collected.
“Donations can be made to the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation at the event to help ensure that young students at Annie L. Gaetz have access to a wide array of books to foster their love for reading,” said Deanne. “Every dollar counts, and your support will make a lasting impact on the lives of these children.”
For more information about the event or how you can support the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation, please call the school at 403-347-5660.
