Going out . . . for breakfast.

Somebody said, “You can’t get there from here.” Well, you can but Jamie’s Riverview Café isn’t a place you’d see on the way by.
My cousin and I always go out for breakfast on the Thursday before we get our hair cut. We prefer a breakfast that’s as much like home cooking as we can find. What’s now Jamie’s Riverview Café, formerly Kim’s Riverview Café (and a number of other names prior to that) is just such a place.
I loved the breakfasts at KrAnBo’s Kitchen in Riveside, now closed, and at Hubie’s Diner in West Park, but haven’t been back since ownership changed, and I’ve tried Penny’s Place in the far north end. They are all as much like home cooking as I can find.
My hope is to use a “Going out . . .” column to share ideas about places in and around Red Deer that on are that “road less travelled.”
