Town Of Penhold Warning Of Thin Ice On Retention Ponds
By Sheldon Spackman
As open waters begin to freeze over throughout Central Alberta, the Town of Penhold is warning residents that the storm retention ponds are not measured for ice depth in the winter.
As a result, there may be water flowing into these systems in the winter months, so town officials ask that you stay off the ice during winter as there may be a present danger of thin ice.
