She may be just a Red Deer girl living in Sylvan Lake, but she certainly hit a cord with her memoir about growing up surrounded by alcoholism. Jodee Prouse is the author of The Sun Is Gone. Prouse was shocked and delighted when just a few days after her book was released, it shot to number one on Amazon charts. Now she’s hoping this memoir about troubles in her own family will help families around the world heal.
