Red Deerians Honoured With The Award Of Excellence In Public Awareness.
Two Red Deerians have received some special recognition from the province regarding their work for people with disabilities.
Terri Robson and Blair Charters were both honoured on Tuesday, November 29th with The Award of Excellence in Public Awareness.
The awards were handed out in Edmonton by The Premier’s Council on the Status of Persons with Disabilities for outstanding leadership and achievement in creating and promoting inclusive communities.
In a release, Bill Brandon, Acting Chair of the Premier’s Council on the Status of Persons with Disabilities said “We are honoured to present Premier’s Council Awards to these deserving Albertans. Their diligence and commitment is instrumental in building inclusive, barrier-free communities where persons with disabilities can fully participate.”
Robson and Charters were two of ten people from across the province to receive the award this week.
