Ponoka RCMP Arrest Ontario Man on Canada Wide Warrant

 Ponoka, Alberta – At noon on February 7th, 2018, members of the Ponoka RCMP detachment effected the arrest of one suspect who was wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant.

Shortly after 11:00 a.m. members of the Ponoka RCMP detachment received information on the whereabouts of a male wanted on Canada Wide Warrant for offences that he committed in Ontario. A short time later Ponoka RCMP members, with assistance from the Ponoka General Investigations Unit and the Ponoka Integrated Traffic Unit, descended on a residence in the town of Ponoka, obtained a warrant to enter the dwelling, and located arrested the from Ontario on the Canada Wide Warrant.

36-year-old Daniel SANCHE was being sought on a Canada wide warrant out of Dryden, Ontario for a multitude of charges consisting of:

  • 3 Charges of Sexual Assault.
  • 3 Charges of Sexual Interference
  • 2 Charge of Assault.

The accused has been remanded in custody and will be transported back to Ontario where he will appear in court to answer to the charges against him.
