Nominations Now Being Accepted For Mayor’s Recognition Awards

Do you know an individual, group or team from Red Deer whose actions have brought honour and recognition to the community? Then City officials would like to hear from you! Nominations for the annual Mayor’s Recognition Awards are now being accepted until February 28th at 9:00 am.
The Mayor’s Recognition Awards are a way to recognize those deserving to be recognized for their outstanding contributions to our community. There are five award categories that recognize individuals, groups and teams from Red Deer whose actions strengthen and contribute to the overall well-being of our city:
- Athletics
- Distinguished Voluntary Service
- Fine & Performing Arts
- Community Builder Award
- Mayor’s Special Award
The Mayor’s Recognition Awards Committee selects the award recipients with the exception of the Mayor’s Special Award recipient, who is chosen by the Mayor herself. The Mayor’s Recognition Awards are presented at a ceremony in June.
