Kath Hoffman – 2017 Women of Excellence Nominee
To many people she’s known as the Executive Director of the Safe Harbour Society. But those who know her well, call her “Captain”. Captain of the ship trying to sail desperate travellers into a safe harbour. That’s Kath Hoffman. The Captain has dedicated the last few decades of her life to all those living in the under belly of society. These are people suffering from all types of problems manifesting themselves in the same way.. addictions that have taken over their lives. The idea is that if these people are safe, everyone’s safe. It’s an important, but a very difficult job. Kath Hoffman, Executive Director of Red Deer’s Safe Harbour Society has been nominated as a 2017 Woman of Excellence. Meet “The Captain”.
