Innisfail’s Christmas Tree Pick-Up Ends This Week
After another successful year, the Town’s Christmas Tree Pickup program is set to come to an end Feb. 3.
This year’s program saw Town staff collect an astonishing 300 trees throughout the month of January. Trees will continue to be picked up until Friday, Feb. 3.
Beyond that, the Town’s Waste Transfer Station will accept trees free of charge until mid-February.
“The Town’s Public Works department is to be commended for its dedication to this valuable community program,” said Frank Colosimo, Director of Operational Services. “Christmas trees are picked up as a courtesy by Town staff, who diligently carry out the task on top of the many others they’re assigned.”
Residents with trees still to be picked up are asked to contact the Town Office at 403-227-3376 prior to the Feb. 3 deadline. Trees must be free of tinsel and decorations.
