You are invited on a journey to discover the stories of hidden everyday heroes all around you.
The old saying, “Not all heroes wear capes”, rings true in the halls of Red Deer College. In this series we will explore the tales of these unknown heroes. Ordinary people who perform extraordinary deeds.
Who is a #GetInvolvedHero?
Everyday people who, by their actions, become an immortal wave of positive change that betters the lives of all around them.
They:
- Become a prime mover of change in their community
- Go the extra mile in their deeds and actions to share goodwill
- Lead from character, not a title
- Fall and get back up
- Inspire others to do more
- Look beyond selfish desires
- Empower others with positivity and acceptance
- Break the status quo
Going Forward
We will not only discover community builders who do so much but also explore ways to become heroes together. As Tara Veer, Mayor of the City of Red Deer and Alum of Red Deer College, says “Community is people helping people”.
