Woody’s Spray Park opening this weekend

The community is invited to a Family Fun Day to commemorate the opening of Woody’s Spray Park at the G.H. Dawe Community Centre. The free family event is being held on Saturday, July 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The day will be filled with games and activities for all ages, and of course, play time in the new spray park. The first 450 people to arrive will receive a free water bottle. To avoid parking, attendees are invited to ride City of Red Deer Transit free until 4 p.m. on routes #2 and #4 to the G.H. Dawe Community Centre.

Woody’s Spray Park features picnic tables, green spaces, on-site washrooms and two outdoor showers. A perimeter fence has been installed to keep spray park patrons safe for everyone to enjoy. While the event is until 4 p.m. on Saturday, the spray park is open until 7 p.m.

Woody’s Spray Park is open until the September long weekend, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily (weather permitting).
