Adam Guthrie is 2017 Red Deer Young Citizen of the Year
He’s one of only a half dozen high school graduates in Alberta and thirty three from across the country, who can call himself a 2017 Loran Scholar. Valued at $100,000.00, the scholarship will help pay for his education at UBC, as well as apprenticeships and mentorships.. all meant to further his skills as a leader. The grade 12 student is Student Council President at Ecole Secondaire Notre Dame High School.
There’s no telling where Adam Guthrie might end up. But in 2017, he’s Red Deer’s Young Citizen of the Year!
