Golf tournament promotes fellowship and a ton of fun!
About a decade ago, a local fella by the name of Jim McPherson met a bunch of golfers at a club he belonged to near San Antonio. They were from Texas and Mexico. A friendly golf tournament developed when Jim invited some Canadians down for a weekend of fun. That tournament became the NAFTA Cup, and every few years, the same group, with a few additions here and there, gets together in a different country to play a modified Ryder Cup style tournament. The golf is not great, but the fellowship and fun are amazing. This year, I played with the Mexican Team because they needed a few people to make the tournament work. Our Mexican team won … but that’s not the point. Here’s a look at some of the fun we had.
