Be Fire Safe This Holiday Season

Red Deer County Fire officials are offering ten tips on how to stay safe this Holiday Season. Those tips are listed below:
1. Check your smoke alarm to ensure they work properly
2. Don’t leave candles unattended
3. Keep your Christmas tree well watered
4. Check all lights before decorating
5. Always stay in the kitchen while cooking
6. Use extension cords wisely
7. Keep matches and lighters out of sight and in places your kids can’t reach
8. Give space heaters space
9. Stub your cigarettes out and dispose of them safely
10. Have a home fire escape plan
