Raising The Woof For Notre Dame’s Grad Service Project
Local victims of crime stand to benefit from this year’s Grad Service Project planned for Notre Dame High School in Red Deer.
Shannon Nivens is the Grad Coordinator from École Secondaire Notre Dame High School and informed Trustees and Senior Administration that this year’s chosen charity is the Red Deer Victim Services Unit. Students decided on the organization knowing that the city of Red Deer does not have a service dog, and has to acquire one from Olds.
The hope is for each student team to raise $2,017 each, which will then result in the ability to purchase a Service Dog for Red Deer while including the cost of it’s training and insurance as well. In addition to that, there will be other items to assist those who have experienced trauma.
This project will run between February 27th and March 4th of 2017.
