Giving Tuesday. What Will You Give On November 29?
If you’re a little tired of all the hype at this time of year surrounding events like Cyber Monday and Black Friday… then this is probably perfect for you.
Giving Tuesday is a day to focus on your community and it’s coming up at the end of November.
This week Red Deer Mayor Tara Veer joined local organizers to kick off “Central AB Gives”.
“Giving Tuesday” is your chance to donate a bit of your time, talent or treasure to an organization that means the world to you.
Remember to take a photo of yourself in the act of doing good, and post this as part of the Giving Tuesday #UNselfie challenge.
Organizations that will be on hand include the Red Deer & District SPCA, Family Services of Central Alberta, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Volunteer Central, Red Deer Hospice Society, Magdalene House Society, Waskasoo Environmental Education Society, Red Deer & District Community Foundation and Red Deer College.
