Strong Support For Youth Outreach From RDC
Vantage Community Services (Street Ties Youth Outreach) is a drop in centre which offers a welcoming environment for at-risk youth, where they can get the help that they need to minimize the risks they face on the street. This includes practical supports such as access to showers, food, clothing and educational resources.
RDC Athletics recently invited students, staff and faculty at the college to help collect clothing for the centre. The response has been overwhelming. “The collection is going extremely well” said Julia Murrell of the Queens Hockey Program. “We’ve already collected a full car load of donations”.
Donations of clothing in all sizes will continue to be accepted at the equipment room counter until April 13, 2017.
