By Sheldon Spackman
Red Deer Country residents who would like to learn more about managing private wastewater or septic systems are encouraged to attend a workshop later this month.
The Wastewater Workshop will take place November 23rd from 4:30-7:00pm at the Spruce View Community Hall and have Dean Morin from Alberta Municipal Affairs giving homeowners more knowledge of the septic systems available in the Alberta code. Morin will also discuss how to operate and maintain a septic system so to ensure it lasts. The workshop covers everything from common problems, maintenance, setbacks, signs of septic system failure and the choices available to homeowners.
The Green Acreages Septic Workshop is free of charge and will have a light dinner and coffee provided but you have to register by November 16th.
