Mayor Tara Veer with an Open Letter to Community
Community Friends,
Thank you for the responsibility and honour of serving as your Mayor. Over the past four years I have determinedly worked with you and for you to make our Red Deer a better place to live for all who call our city home.
The upcoming election marks the beginning of our new opportunities to build on the foundation and momentum we have established as a community. Our Red Deer is a city of possibilities, and I am asking to continue to actively pursue Red Deer’s possibilities with you. Together we have accomplished many things and we have much to be proud of, but there remains more work to be done to address the challenges we are faced with and to realize our full community potential.
Throughout my public service I have consistently listened intently to the will of the people, and I have chosen you and what I have believed to represent your best interests in my daily decision-making. I am asking you to choose me through a renewed mandate on October 16th so that we can continue to build citizen-minded local government, address challenges, and pursue community opportunities together.
