Let The Fun Begin – Westerner Days Is Underway!

In celebration of Canada 150, food fanatics indulge, thrill seekers chase adventure, entertainment lovers celebrate, and community members unite together at the 2017 Westerner Days Fair & Exposition. From July 19 to July 23, we will come together in celebration and pay tribute to this great country we call home by showcasing mainly Canadian entertainers, vendors, shows, and getting back to our Canadian roots by being proud, welcoming, practical, and service-oriented.
Satisfy your thirst and hunger by stopping off at the Grub Hub. Before you even reach the area, you will be tempted by the smells of the Bushmen’s Smokehouse, Birdies Donuts, Sierra Coffee, Queen Bees Food Truck and so much more! The Grub Hub will once again feature dozens of delicious treats and meal options. You will find ethnic delicacies, Western classics and a variety of deep fried goodies, including gluten free options. For more information on food vendors and gluten free options, visit WesternerDays.ca.
Take a stroll through the Holiday Inn 19th Street Market, where you will find over 100 exhibitors demonstrating, showcasing and providing samples of their products. This venue is home to My Antique Portrait, Lockdown Escape Rooms, Spudniks, Central Alberta Garment District (Clothing), Thelma’s Goodies, and more. Be on the lookout for other incredible treats, fashion and products that make the Holiday Inn 19th Street Market a Westerner Days favourite!
Right beside the market, take in the sounds and relax in our Mike’s Hard Lounge, presented by 100.7 CRUZ FM and KRAZE 101.3 FM. There will be nightly shows by Aussie Rules Dueling Pianos and special appearances by Jason Bertsch and Alicia Aichelle that are sure to impress the audience!
Visit the Bud Barn and Beer Gardens, presented by ZED 98.9 FM, and take in four nights of live entertainment with performances by Dean Ray, Drew Gregory and Alecia Aichelle on the Chillabong’s Stage.
As part of our year-round partnership, Shaw will be providing all attendees of Westerner Days with access to Shaw Go WiFi. With free WiFi access in areas, all attendees will be able to share their Westerner Days experience with family, friends, and the community!
