Lacombe Residents Step Up For Special Olympians
By Sheldon Spackman
Special Olympians in Alberta stand to benefit from a fundraiser held in Lacombe on October 22nd.
City officials say the Cops, Pops and Pizza event held at the Boston Pizza in Lacombe raised $1,360 for Special Olympics Alberta so that athletes have the opportunity to continue to train for and take part in year-round sports activities.
As a result, The Lacombe Police Service and the Law Enforcement Torch Run are thanking the community for all their support in this year’s fundraiser.
