Police seek public’s assistance to identify male suspect in Kijiji attempted robbery

The Edmonton Police Service is looking for the public’s assistance to help identify a male suspect involved in an attempted robbery.

At approximately 7:20 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2019, an unknown male suspect made arrangements online to purchase an iPhone listed for sale on Kijiji. The man selling the phone and the male suspect agreed to meet in the area of 97 Street and 118 Avenue to conduct the transaction. It was reported that when the suspect arrived and spoke with the seller, the male suspect began assaulting the seller in an attempt to steal the iPhone. The suspect fled the scene following the assault and was unsuccessful in obtaining the phone.


Assist to identify: Male suspect involved in attempted robbery

The suspect is described as a male in his late teens to early 20s. He has brown hair and brown eyes and was wearing a brown colored jacket at the time of the assault.
