Coming Together For Alberta’s Children’s Hospitals!
By Sheldon Spackman
Red Deerians braved the windy conditions on Wednesday afternoon to come together in support of Alberta Children’s Hospitals.
The inaugural Teddy Bear Picnic and Market was held at the ATB Financial North Gaetz Crossing Branch on 50th Avenue. The next step in the evolution of the Teddy for a Toonie fundraiser previously held by the bank every year. The event offered customers and visitors alike the chance to pick up some eats at one of the food trucks on site and check out the garage sale and market items available for purchase. All proceeds of course in support of Alberta Children’s Hospitals.
Event spokesperson Marion Frame says over $400 had already been raised by the noon hour!
