Celebrating Alberta’s Leaders In Child Development

A team of child development professionals from Red Deer have been recognized for their work with children.
Syed Faiza Zaidi, Ambreen Zaidi and Alvina Zaidi from Tiny Toes Castle received the Child Development Professional Award of Excellence from the Alberta Government’s Human Services Department recently.
Nine child development professionals were acknowledged at the 11th annual Awards Ceremony for providing exceptional care to kids in Alberta. Officials say recognizing these professionals acknowledges the work they have done in assisting parents and to the development of young Albertans.
Recipients of the award have been chosen from more than 85 nominees for leadership, creativity, innovation and collaborative approaches to their work. Nominees work in the fields of child care, early childhood development programs and services and in Parent Link Centres.
In a release Irfan Sabir, Minister of Human Services said, “Every child deserves to grow up in a nurturing environment with every opportunity to succeed and thrive. Child development professionals play a critical role in building bright futures for Alberta’s children and for our province. For that reason, our government is proud to recognize their hard work, care and creativity.”
Recipients of the award were recognized from cities across the province, including Red Deer, Calgary, Coaldale, Cochrane, Drayton Valley, Edmonton and Grande Prairie.
