Breaking: ‘Catch This Fascist’: Radicalized Utah Suspect Arrested in Charlie Kirk Assassination, Officials Say

Utah’s governor and FBI officials this morning announced the arrest of 22-year-old Tyler Robinson of Utah — reportedly a politically radicalized young man who viewed his target, Charlie Kirk, as “full of hate” — in the assassination of Kirk, a close ally of President Donald Trump, in a daylight shooting on a Utah campus Wednesday that has shocked an already deeply divided nation.

The assassination of Kirk echoes the attempt on Trump’s life during his campaign rally in Pennsylvania in July 2025, when 20-year-old Matthew Crooks opened fire from a roof, grazing Trump’s ear and killing one bystander before Crooks was shot dead by law enforcement.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox said investigators were tipped off when a family member of Robinson confided to a friend that Robinson had mentioned Kirk at a family dinner, saying, “Charlie Kirk was coming to UVU” and that Kirk was “full of hate and spreading hate.” The friend alerted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, which relayed the information to Utah County and the FBI.

Investigators confirmed Robinson’s gray Dodge Challenger was captured on campus video at 8:29 a.m. on September 10. His roommate later showed agents Discord messages in which Robinson allegedly described stashing a rifle at a “drop point,” wrapping it in a towel, and returning to watch the area. Messages also referred to “engraving bullets,” changing outfits, and the rifle being “unique.”

Officials said they later discovered a bolt-action rifle wrapped in a dark-colored towel near the UVU campus. “The rifle was determined to be a Mauser Model 98 bolt-action with a scope mounted on top,” Cox said. “Inscriptions had been engraved on the casings.”

According to investigators, Cox confirmed, one fired casing read: “Hey, fascist, catch this.” Another unfired casing read: “If you read this, you are gay LMAO.”

“We are indebted to law enforcement across the state who worked seamlessly together,” Cox said.

More to come.

Charlie Kirk Shooting Suspect Revealed: Here’s What His Ammunition Said

Published on

These are the words of someone truly deranged and filled with hate.

Tyler Robinson, 22, not a student at Utah Valley University, is the man authorities now believe took the fatal shot that ended Charlie Kirk’s life at just 31 years old.

Investigators say Robinson had recently grown more political, mentioned Kirk by name, and openly opposed his beliefs.

After the killing, Robinson reached out to a family friend with a confession. He had also been communicating extensively on Discord, a group-chat platform popular among gamers, where investigators now confirm he was active, Fox News reports.

Authorities also revealed the disturbing words engraved on the ammunition.

Fired casing:

“Notices bulges. OwO (face-emoticon) What’s this?”

Unfired casings:

“Hey fascist! Catch!” followed by ➡️ and then ⬇️⬇️⬇️

“O Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao Ciao Ciao”

“If you read this, you are gay lmao”

At the close of the press conference, Utah Governor Spencer Cox grew visibly emotional as he ended with words from Charlie Kirk himself. It was an eye-watering moment.

America would do well to remember the truths Charlie Kirk never stopped preaching.

“When people stop talking, that’s when you get violence.”

“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong. The only way out of the labyrinth of suffering is to forgive. Welcome without judgment, love without condition, forgive without limit. Always forgive your enemies. Nothing annoys them so much.”

“When things are moving very fast and people are losing their minds, it’s important to stay grounded. Turn off your phone, read scripture, spend time with friends, and remember, Internet fury is not real life.”

“When you stop having a human connection with someone you disagree with, it becomes a lot easier to commit violence. What we as a culture have to get back to is being able to have reasonable agreement where violence is not an option.”

“Hey fascist! Catch!”: Authorities confirm writing on alleged Kirk killer’s bullet casings

Published on

From The Center Square

By

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox revealed on Friday that shell casings used by Charlie Kirk’s alleged shooter had inscriptions on them.

Cox said investigators determined the alleged shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, used a bolt action rifle, which was discovered on the edge of Utah Valley University’s campus wrapped in a dark colored towel. Cox said the rifle had a scope on it.

Cox listed four bullet casings with written inscriptions. The casing that had been fired read “notices bulges OWO what’s this?”

Three other casings that had not been fired also had inscriptions on them. One casing read “hey fascist! catch!” with an up arrow symbol, right arrow symbols and three down arrow symbols, Cox said.

Another casing with an inscription read “oh bella ciao bella ciao bella ciao ciao ciao,” Cox said.

The fourth casing recovered by investigators read “if you are reading this, you’re gay lmao.”

Cox said a family member of Tyler Robinson, the alleged shooter, told investigators he had becomes “more political” in recent years.

Cox called on the public to display unity following Kirk’s shooting.

“History will dictate if this is a turning point for our country,” Gov. Cox said. “Every single one of us gets to choose right now if this is a turning point for us.”
