Red Deer seems to be like the man constantly increasing his lawn. Prepares new land and lays down new sod. Waters the new sod and mows it with renewed vigor. Last year’s sod gets watered when time permits. The year before sod is starting to show some weeds and when the new sod is laid and if there is time, that will get looked at. The sod laid the year before that is where you park your car. Red Deer is always looking to lay new sod.
Forget about the garden, Red Deer is laying new sod. With new sod down, you see an immediate improvement, like new neighbourhoods. But if you do not maintain old neighbourhoods like old sod it turns to weeds. Gardens take longer and needs long term effort to bear fruit.
Red Deer tends to prefer new sod. Perhaps a candidate or two will look at benefits of maintaining a garden.
