Red Deer’s Outdoor Rinks Now Open!
The sound of skate blades carving up the ice can now be heard on Red Deer’s outdoor rinks.
City officials say all of our community’s outdoor rinks and natural ice surfaces are now open, adding crews worked throughout the cold weather to assure they would be ready to go this weekend.
This means, Bower Ponds and the Recreation Centre Oval are open as well, however city officials are reminding citizen’s that the use of helmets is recommended at all times and that hockey pucks and sticks are not permitted at Bower Ponds or the Recreation Centre Oval.
