Red Deer in the running to be “most active” city in Canada! – And you can help!

- at time of posting, (Tuesday 7 am) Red Deer is in 13th place in Canada!
I just wanted to keep you up to date on the ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge. We are competing to be named the most active City in Canada and currently stand in 12th place. I am super excited that Red Deer made the leader board it is awesome!! But we would love to be in the top 10.
You can watch this leader board on www.participaction.com it changes throughout the day. In order for us to move up we need more people in our City downloading the app and tracking their activity. It can be any activity from gardening, housework, an evening walk or a planned work out. You can also go online and track your active kids or groups even. If we are named the most active City we win $150,000 and individuals can win $10, $250 and $2000 Sport Chek cards.
We are only on day 5 of the challenge so we still have time! If you can help us share this with our community that would be so awesome. I can come and talk about it on air or to a group if you would like. The challenge runs from May 31- June 16th.
