RDC Day of Giving Supports Students in Crisis
The Red Deer College community spent a few hours on Giving Tuesday raising thousands of dollars to support students in financial crisis. Every year on Giving Tuesday RDC holds a special fundraiser for this cause. Hundreds participated by picking up a “taco in a bag” and making a donation.
Organizers added to the fun by throwing in a Mannequin Challenge at the Annual Day of Giving Event. The Mannequin Challenge is sometimes spontaneous and sometimes an elaborate set up where those taking the challenge freeze like mannequins for a set period of time. RDC’s spontaneous challenge seemed to go over extremely well as you can see in this video.
