Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni: ‘Soros, not Musk is the real threat to democracy’

‘So is the problem that Elon Musk is influential and rich or is it that Elon Musk is not a leftist?’ asked Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has stated that George Soros, not Musk, is the real threat to elections and sovereignty.

Speaking at a 2-hour press conference, at which media had expressed concern about the influence that Elon Musk exerts on both Meloni and on democracies throughout Europe, Meloni asked, “So is the problem that Elon Musk is, let’s say, influential and rich, or is it that Elon Musk is not a leftist?”

Meloni explained that while Musk expresses opinions, Soros interferes with the domestic politics of nations and uses his money to destabilize countries, according to a report by NDTV.

“In my opinion, the interference on the sovereignty of a country is when billions are spent to affect political choices by paying political figures, and this has unfortunately happened with us in the past and no one tore their clothes as … it happened,” said Meloni.

Prime Minister Meloni also said:

The problem is when wealthy people use their resources to finance parties, associations and political exponents all over the world to influence the political choices of nation-states. That’s not what Musk is doing. This, for example, is what George Soros does.

I am not aware of Elon Musk financing political parties, associations or political exponents around the world. This, for example, is what George Soros does. And yes, I consider that to be dangerous interference in the affairs of nation states and in their sovereignty.

Musk has come under heavy fire from leftist forces across the western world for his support of Donald Trump. First Musk vigorously endorsed Trump following the latter’s escape from a July 2024 assassination attempt, and then he accepted a role in Trump’s upcoming administration as co-head, along with Vivek Ramaswamy, of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

As such, Musk has become the sworn enemy of those serving in bloated western government bureaucracies.

Meanwhile, the 94-year-old, Hungarian-born billionaire financier George Soros has reportedly been the American Democratic Party’s largest donor for many years. He also has a finger in many European pies.

“Soros’ Open Society Foundations gives international support to illegal migrants to try to fight the legal system in sovereign nations that try to deport them,” notes Hungarian Conservative (HC) magazine.

“His Media Matters’ main purpose is to harass advertisers of media companies hosting right-wing content and to manufacture negative press about right-wing public figures,” explained HC.

“He has also funded the campaigns of Attorney Generals across the United States who are lenient with violent criminals, leading to an increase in crime in the major cities of the US.”

Nevertheless, European progressives continue to see Musk, not Soros, as a threat.

In recent weeks, Musk has used his prominent position in social media to repeatedly criticize U.K. Prime Minister Kier Starmer and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for decisions and policies he and many others feel are to the detriment of those leaders’ co-nationals.

Deep State Deconstruction: DOGE and Treasury

Who is Robert Malone Robert W Malone MD, MS

This is a game changer, and it’s scalable worldwide!

“Follow the money” takes on a new meaning when the bloodhound is an algorithm-powered web crawling bot designed to drill through internal government firewalls and map out redundancy, waste, and longstanding hidden internal influence networks established over decades.

What am I talking about?

Algorithmic Corruption Mapping

To the best of my ability, I am describing a key part of the DOGE toolkit based on the fragments of information that have recently been made public. If I understand correctly, what has been developed is almost infinitely scalable and could be readily deployed by allied governments to root out corruption. DOGE appears to be engaged in a truly radical experiment in government spending transparency and accountability by applying modern information technology tools to a problem set long believed to be intractable.

We will probably learn more during the DOGE Super Bowl commercial airing soon.

But before we go further down this particular rabbit hole, please take a moment to listen to Mike Benz describe the USAID disinformation program:

Getting back to DOGE and using algorithmic computational tools to map financial relationships, influence networks, and waste/fraud and abuse within the Federal Government by following the money.

Frankly, my sense is that the video above is at least in part a PsyOp, designed to scare the pants off of DeepState/Administrative State “Senior Executive Service” minions within the Treasury Department and across the Federal Bureaucracy.

But it lays out strategy and tactics that could well become transformational, and could not only provide a means to uncover organizational corruption but also to enable a level of transparency that will lead to an unprecedented support by citizens for the US federal government.

This vision looks to me like it could play a big role in Making America Great Again.

For more insight into what this all means, the changes it might bring, and the forces at play, I recommend this final video of a recent interview with internet/web browser pioneer Mark Andreessen:

Marc Andreessen: Trump, Power, Tech, AI, Immigration & Future of America | Lex Fridman Podcast #458

With the election of Donald Trump and his alliance with Elon Musk, there has been a power shift in the Matrix.

I can hardly wait to see what happens when these types of tools are let loose on the NIH, BARDA, FDA, CDC, USDA and the whole Federal Research and Development Enterprise. It will abruptly become much more difficult to build and sustain the types of mafia-like power networks that have sustained the likes of Anthony Fauci and his band.

MAGA/MAHA is bringing a new Sheriff to DC town. Expect the wailing to continue to increase for the foreseeable future.

Let’s go Bobby!

There is nothing green about the ‘green’ agenda

Quick Hit:

RealClearEnergy contributor Steve Milloy argues that the environmental left has been disingenuous about the true costs of so-called green energy. He exposes the environmental and human toll of electric vehicles, solar, and wind power, calling the movement’s claims “Orwellian.”

Key Details:

  • Milloy criticizes Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm for claiming President Trump is helping China by cutting subsidies for the green economy.

  • He highlights the use of child labor and environmental destruction in mining for electric vehicle (EV) components like lithium and nickel.

  • He challenges the credibility of climate activists, pointing out decades of failed predictions and misleading rhetoric.

Diving Deeper:

Now that Democrats no longer control the federal government, Steve Milloy argues that climate activists are scrambling to rebrand their agenda to appeal to conservatives. In a recent op-ed for RealClearEnergy, Milloy calls out Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm for claiming that Trump’s rollback of green energy subsidies is a win for Communist China. Milloy translates this as frustration from the left over the end of “the flow of billions of taxpayers’ dollars to subsidize electric vehicles that nobody wants and only the well-off can afford.”

According to Milloy, the so-called green agenda is anything but environmentally friendly. “If the climate movement was truly sincere and intellectually honest in its desire to stop actions contributing to global environmental degradation, it would stand fast against solar panels and electric vehicles,” he writes. He details the horrific conditions in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where children mine cobalt for lithium-ion batteries with their bare hands, breathing in toxic dust while contaminating their own water supply. Meanwhile, he says, activists remain “blithely unaware or unconcerned in the comfort of their own homes.”

The mining of nickel, another key EV battery component, also devastates the environment. Milloy describes Indonesia’s nickel refining operations, where thick brown smog chokes the air, and chemicals leach into groundwater. “Whatever else climate activists may try to tell us, there is nothing green going on here,” he asserts.

In Brazil, an aluminum refinery linked to Ford’s now-canceled all-electric F-150 Lightning has been accused of poisoning local communities with toxic chemicals. Milloy highlights a lawsuit alleging that heavy metal contamination has caused cancer, birth defects, and neurological disorders. Meanwhile, a separate Brazilian EV factory was recently shut down due to “slavery”-like working conditions. “How is that a green virtue?” Milloy asks.

The environmental destruction doesn’t stop with EVs. “Solar energy, long the prize pig of the climate crowd, isn’t green either,” Milloy writes, citing studies showing that clearing forests for solar farms actually increases carbon emissions. Wind power, he notes, is no better, with massive wind farms killing wildlife and disrupting ecosystems both on land and offshore.

Milloy argues that the climate movement has long relied on fear-mongering and deception. “In 1970, they assured us that human activity would cause an ice age by the 21st century,” he recalls. Predictions of global famine, acid rain catastrophes, and rising sea levels have all failed to materialize. He points to Al Gore’s 2008 claim that the North Pole would be ice-free within five years and UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s 2009 declaration that the world had “fewer than 50 days to save our planet from catastrophe.” “Spoiler alert: We’re still here and thriving,” Milloy quips.

Ultimately, he says, there is no such thing as “clean” or “dirty” energy—only trade-offs and solutions. With energy costs already high, Milloy argues that reliable fossil fuels remain essential. “Word sophistry from our friends on the left won’t change that,” he concludes.
