Iran CleanUp In Aisle Three: Obama Says You Caused The Mess
“What Hamas did was horrific, and there is no justification for it. And what is also true is that the occupation, and what’s happening to Palestinians, is unbearable… You have to admit that all of us are complicit to some degree.”— Barack Obama
It might come as a surprise to you that, as you went about your daily drudge, you were complicit in unspeakable terror in Israel and Gaza. Coming from most people this kind of inane comment might seem absurd. But as it comes from Barack Obama— God’s mouth to his ears— this fiction has gained traction among the fashionably afflicted.
And so heads are bowed at the profundity. The raiment is kissed. Joe Biden has new speaking notes from his boss. Chaos, in the words of Yeats, is loosed upon the land.
The fact that Obama has a shred of credibility left after his eight years of turning America into a struggle session is that the special people have imprinted their most virtuous selves upon him. They bought the nonsense about halting waters and ending warmth. The wine moms and radical dads can no more point out his fatuousness and policy implosions than they can put on a new skin.
None more so than the Canadians cognoscenti who, let down by the failures of Boy King Justin, have doubled down on their worship for America’s first black, sexually ambivalent, crackhead, hipster president. Canadian media’s reverence for this cipher is truly repellent. For instance, their utter incuriosity at the story of his chef drowning on Obama’s property, shortly before he was set to publish a book on the ex-president, was remarkable. But not surprising.
To paraphrase the old Star Kist commercial, Canadians want tunas with good taste, not tunas that taste good.
That this same Barack Obama could somehow parcel out blame for his Iran policy that is fueling the Gaza carnage is absurd. It was he who abandoned America’s long-standing balancing act among the various players in the Middle East, indulging his predilection for third-world kleptocrats and anyone who hates the British and Israelis.
By throwing Iran $6 billion to re-start their nuclear bomb program in return for a packet full of lint, Barry empowered the mullahs, gave hope to the Gaza Mafia and made America’s allies in the region wonder WTF was going to happen next.
While Trump suspended the Obama hare-brained scheme for four years— authoring the Abraham Accords and getting the Saudis to the edge of co-operation— Obama mouthpiece Biden re-started the clock again in 2021. Result: Chaos. Hence where we are today, drowning in gore and poised for nuclear destruction. But, hey, Barry says “All of us are complicit to some degree.”
How did this man achieve Total Consciousness in the middle-class mind? We tracked the ascent of the Manchurian President in May. “how did the radical Left, crushed by Nixon in 1972, re-emerge today to finally achieve its agenda? Enter: Barack Obama, the Manchurian President. For those who missed the 1962 film, The Manchurian Candidate, Laurence Harvey portrayed a former soldier brainwashed by communists in Korea and trained to assassinate a presidential candidate when a specific playing card was shown to him. Allowing the baddies to control the nation.
In this updated real telling a Democratic candidate is the vessel selected by defeated ‘60s radicals to complete their power grab. Hunkered down after their murderous bomb-throwing past, radicals like Bill Ayres and wife Bernadette Dohrn searched for the ideal candidate to get them that power. Like all good Marxists they were willing to play the long game. And if a few bodies hit the floor— well, that was collateral damage.
They first hoped Bill Clinton might get them there, but his sexual peccadilloes and triangulation with GOP left them disappointed. Eventually they saw the prophet in their Chicago living room, the embodiment of their hopes. Glib but not too glib. Black but not too-black. Hip but not too hip, Barry “Call Me Barack” Obama would succeed where Carter, Walter Mondale, Michael Dukakis, Al Gore and Hilary Clinton had failed in transitioning the culture.
Fawned over by the SJWs and elected as a moderate supporter of The Sanctity of Marriage Act, he was bullish on markets, equal opportunity versus equal outcome and other traditional Democratic policies on immigration, education and foreign policy.
Once in the White House, however, the Manchurian President was shown his trigger card in 2009. Faster than you can say Henry Louis Gates, Obama and his coterie of ambitious advisors— Susan Rice, Ben Rhodes, Valerie Jarrett, Samantha Power— sent the Department of Justice into police forces, universities, government offices and the military to implement a radical diversity program. (See Heather Mac Donald’s brilliant The Diversity Delusion
Using the template his wife Michelle Obama had used in implanting critical race theory, small-time black gender fluidity, white privilege and cultural appropriation into Chicago’s school and hospital system, they sought to make cultural guilt the most prominent fact of American life. Clever replaced wise.
Inflating isolated sad cases of black petty criminals like Michael Brown, Treyvon Martin and George Floyd, the Obama crowd manufactured a victim culture for dim liberal whites. Obama fed it like red meat to a media voracious for glib psychobabble.
Every story played out through this prism. Including the current rationalization of the most cruel behaviour by Hamas against Israel. Leading Obama, the squire of Martha’s Vineyard, to his suggestion that somehow we are all culpable of this horror. And having vast swaths of America and Canada lick it up.
Sorry, Barry. It was on your watch. You own it. Leave us out of it. You can start by handing back your bogus Nobel Peace Prize.

They Were Who We Thought They Were. And Trump Let Them Off The Hook
In sports it’s well-known that if you’re complaining about refereeing you must have lost. Judging by the tsunami of criticism launched by Republicans at ABC News’s moderators after Tuesday night’s presidential debate it would tell you that Donald Trump lost his first— and likely only—debate with Kamala Harris.
“Three against one” was the persistent complaint about the work of ABC’s David Muir and Linsey Davis. And you could make the case for that criticism. A media analysis of ABC’s leftist news coverage before Tuesday showed that it gave Harris positive coverage 95 percent of the time, while Trump received just six percent positive coverage (most dedicated to his being shot). Further, Harris is a close pal of the woman who runs ABC News. Davis is Harris’ sorority sister. Really? Where were Trump or viewers informed of these conflicts?
Muir thought moderator meant fact-checker and inserted himself by debating Trump on his claims. On at least a half dozen occasions an unctuous Hume debated Trump about, among the topics, the eating of family pets by Haitian immigrants in towns and cities overrun by migrants. (A claim supported by Ohio’s attorney general.)
Snippy co-moderator Davis challenged Trump’s assertion that Harris was in favour of unlimited abortion until the moment of delivery (Davis was wrong) and then quickly moved on to softball Harris. Fair enough, if you or your bosses think your job is to correct in real time the assertions of the politicians.
Except they never upbraided Harris on a series of her own whoppers that have clearly been debunked. (“Fine people”, “bloodbath”, etc.) With that comfort zone, Harris lost her jitters and avoided mistakes. It was now a home game. Hence the chorus of “Unfair” that followed.
But let’s be honest, what was Trump expecting? This was Trump’s charge of the Light Brigade expecting another outcome. After the past decade, making a headlong charge into cannons is not a wise career move. But like the doddering generals of the 1850s British Army, an aging Trump has reached peak self delusion after dodging a bullet himself this summer. He is like the psychotic Maggott character Telly Savalas played in Dirty Dozen. Everything is going well on the mission till he sees a German woman he likes. Then he abandons the script. And hell breaks loose.
Sadly, his lieutenants now do a better job articulating his talking points these days. (It wouldn’t be a surprise if the GOP let RFK Jr. and VP candidate J.D. Vance do the more talking from here on in.)
Whether this debate was a missed opportunity or a campaign turning point will be decided in the coming weeks. For those who think it’s going to change the polls, remember that Biden’s epic debate meltdown from June only cost him a couple of points in popularity. Trump advanced but one point. Still, the DEMs panicked in June, launching a coup against the man who’d overwhelmingly won the primaries. (Mirror to January of 2017 when they launched a three-year attempted coup to remove Trump.)
Trump mentioned Harris not getting any primary votes, but ABC wrinkled its nose at a real story, preferring to delve into how Trump’s father made money 50 years ago. What was definitive about Tuesday is that the DC Media Party is again in the tank. The son of the President of the United States of America had just pled guilty to tax evasion for bribes he received from foreign adversaries in exchange for selling access to his father, the vice president at the time. This should have been the first, last and every question from ABC’s Mod Squad. Nope, let’s talk about E. Jean Carroll.
There’s no price to pay for burying uncomfortable stories. Example: Here’s John Kirby, spokesman for the Defence Dept., “Was anyone ever held accountable by the president directly for what happened with the withdrawal in Afghanistan?” KIRBY: “We have all held ourselves accountable…”
Oh good. Let’s move along. As Louisiana senator John Kennedy noted, “I know many people in Washington D.C. that would unplug your life support to charge their cell phone.” That explains a media mob that now talks openly of banning anyone who doesn’t sing from their anti-Trump hymn book..
This cheerleading has metastasized in the past generation. As veteran journalist Matti Friedman wrote this week on Substack in When We Started to Lie: “The practice of journalism—that is, knowledgeable analysis of messy events on Planet Earth—was being replaced by a kind of aggressive activism that left little room for dissent. The new goal was not to describe reality, but to usher readers to the correct political conclusion…
The activist-journalists, I found, were backed up by an affiliated world of progressive NGOs and academics who we referred to as experts, creating a thought loop nearly impervious to external information. All of this had the effect of presenting a mass audience with a supposedly factual story that had a powerful emotional punch and a familiar villain.”
What’s interesting is that no one in the U.S. has had to pay journalists to do this. In Canada the Trudeau federal government is taking no chances. It has taken to threatening media outlets it now supports through its media slush funds. Here’s Taleeb Noormohamed, parliamentary secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage dressing down a media critic who mentioned Noormohamed’s sketchy real estate flipping history,
. @Taleeb Your paper wouldn’t be in business were it not for the subsidies that the government that you hate put in place – the same subsidies your Trump – adjacent foreign hedge fund owners gladly take to pay your salary.” Translation: Nice little business you’ve got there. Too bad if something were to happen to it.
This behaviour has cowed many establishment journalists who, instead of carving Justin, write Trump thought-loop diatribes so they don’t get the Roman Polanski Chinatown nose surgery. (Nosy boy?”) Long, long after even the Dems have moved on from the most demented Trump fabrications the CDN media will still be slavishly regurgitating the pablum served to them by their heroes in American spy craft.
As such CBC newscasts are now time capsules of 2016 Think, indistinguishable from PMO press releases and leaks. We recently watched a newscast while in the lobby of the CBC building as the network adopted the missionary position on the latest Obamite Russia propaganda campaign. Followed by yet another deep swallow on Hottest Year on record. CBC had its senior reporter wheel out a single embedded “source” it’s used since the 1990s– w/o any conflicting “experts” as CBC reporting code requires– to re-varnish the narrative it has excreted since it decided that hot, not cold, would kill us all.
Unapologetic propaganda for imbecile liberals. That’s why it’s easier to blame the refs.

Dear Vladdy: Now, A Few Helpful Words From Vladimir Putin
If you feel you’re lost in the No-Fun House these days you’re not alone. We already noted the disquieting sequence of events this summer, “Since Joe Biden went full Sling Blade in his debate with Donald Trump to a near-fatal assassination attempt on Trump in Pennsylvania to the Democratic Party staging a Covid-inspired coup against Biden. And now Ms. Montreal, Kamala Harris, being retro-fitted into the Dems’ nominee against Trump while her media pals hastily erase her past.”
If you believe the current polling (you shouldn’t) she’s moved from ugly Biden duckling to Obama swan in just weeks. F1 cars don’t move this fast. But when the combined weight of Hollywood and the media party are playing Wag The Dog, you shouldn’t be surprised when the Dems try to put Trump in Rikers Island jail later this month.
Here in Canada, prime minister Trudeau is busy employing Harris’ Marxist strategy. “What can be, unburdened by what has been“. Like an actor from some bad prequel, he’s harassing steel workers with the novel concept that “I’m not who you think I am”. His pollsters are hinting he’s set for a breakout from the abysmal numbers he now has versus Pierre Poilievre, aka Little Trump.
Again, the embedded forces of the Canadian media, fat with Trudeau handouts, are not to be underestimated when the federal election rolls around in late 2025. A fourth term is always possible in the Land of the Gullible. For now they await the lessons that will be learned from the 2024 presidential election stateside.
The most likely outcome in Trump v. Harris is neither side accepting defeat. (Which will play havoc with Tom Hanks’ fatuous promise to move to Canada should trump prevail.) A drawn-out debate in the U.S. Supreme Court seasoned with a garnish of Electoral College hanky-panky seems a promising scenario for Trudeau— even with Jagmeet Singh, the man long bitching from Justin’s sidecar, now severing their entente..
As we say, it’s all disturbing. What most people in the West can agree on, however, is that Vlad Putin is a bad dude. So bad that both sides of the divide insist their opponent is in the pocket of the man in the Kremlin. The Left is yet again saying Putin funnels money to Trump’s pocket while the Right insists that Putin is working the Obamites to end America’s energy hegemony.
So it comes as a surprise when Alex Ovechkin’s favourite setup man actually nails a few home truths about what is happening socially in the Excited States, Canada and there EU. As we noted in October of 2021, Mr. Baddy sat down at a conference to impart wisdom about censorship and free speech now unfolding in the West.
“Incidentally, the Bolsheviks were absolutely intolerant of other opinions, different from their own. I think this should remind you of something that is happening… (in) the 1920s, the Soviet couture Tagore came up with the so-called ‘Newspeak’, and they thought that thereby they were building a new consciousness and coming up with new values, and they went so far that we feel the consequences up until now.
“There are some monstrous things when from a very young age, you teach to children that the boy can easily become a girl and you impose on them this selection, this choice. You push the parents aside and make the child take this decisions that can destroy their lives… all of that under the banner of progress, while some people just want to do that.”
“This is something we saw in Russia. It happened in our country before the 1917 revolution; the Bolsheviks followed the dogmas of Marx and Engels. And they also declared that they would go in to change the traditional lifestyle, the political, the economic lifestyle, as well as the very notion of morality, the basic principles for a healthy society.
They were trying to destroy age and century-long values, revisiting the relationship between the people. They were encouraging informing on one’s own beloved and families. It was hailed as the march of progress. And it was very popular across the world, and it was supported by many, as we see, it is happening right now.
It is with puzzlement that we see the practices Russia used to have and that we left behind in distant past. The fight for equality and against discrimination turns into an aggressive dogmatism on the brink of absurdity, when great authors of the past such as Shakespeare are no longer taught in schools and universities, because they announced as backward classics that did not understand the importance of gender or race.”
You go, Vlad. There is some recent grassroots pushback to uncontrolled Wokeism, but not enough. Despite the activities of Obama and others, the virtue seekers of the U.S. and Canada seem complacent in the face of such caution. As conservative critic Mark Steyn observes of the gradual U.S. decline— and that of Canada, too— “The good news is that we’re unlikely to get another decade of complacency, because, absent any serious pushback, we’re transitioning from the ‘gradually’ to the ‘suddenly’ phase.”
Which will make today’s discomfort seem like a walk in the park.
