Valleyview: Looking for female suspect in attempted robbery

On Friday August 30, 2019 at approximately 23:00 hours, an attempted robbery happened at a Shell gas station in Valleyview, AB.

Two males and a female suspect attempted to take a victim’s car keys at knife point. Witnesses intervened. The two males were apprehended but the unknown female was not. Video Surveillance shows the entire incident and the female taking the victim’s wallet from the car.

The Valleyview RCMP are looking for information that will identify the female responsible for this crime.

At approximately 4:15 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2020, Northeast Division officers were dispatched to the report of a man with a weapon at a residence in the area of 118 Avenue and 68 Street. 

Upon arrival at the residence, two officers encountered a male. A confrontation occurred between the suspect and police, and the officers discharged their service weapons.

EMS attended the scene and declared the male deceased. No EPS officers were harmed during this incident.

The EPS will not be providing further comment, as the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) has since taken the lead in this investigation.

Active shooting incident in Airdrie – Multiple injuries from BB guns

Airdrie RCMP investigate reports of an active shooter

Airdrie RCMP are currently investigating an incident which has lead to multiple people injured from at least 6 different locations.
At this time it appears that BB guns were used in the “shootings”. One person is in custody and RCMP are looking for the others involved.
RCMP has businesses in a “Shelter in place” in the downtown core. Anyone in the downtown/midtown communities are asked to stay inside.
This is an unfolding situation and more information will be released when it becomes available.
