Open Farm Day August 19th- It’s a Busy Summer at Parkland Garden Centre!

It’s been an eventful summer so far at Parkland Garden Centre and there are no signs of slowing down!

First up, some new hours!

Monday to Wednesday: 9AM to 6PM

Thursday and Friday: 9AM to 8PM

Saturday: 9AM to 6PM

Sunday: 10AM to 5PM

 

On Saturday, August 19th you’re invited to Parkland Garden Centre to take part in loads of fun activities for Open Farm Day!

Here’s a breakdown of the day:

FROM 11AM TO 12 NOON:
Garden Gnomes/Fairy Miniature Garden Course
(Must be pre-registered!) Cost is $30.00 plus GST

11AM & 1PM (2 Sessions)
Francois – “The French Raw (Foods) Chef”  will be giving demonstrations on fermenting foods! He’ll also have food products, (raw, vegan and gluten free) available for purchase.

Francois will be on-hand at Open Farm Day from 11AM to 4PM.

11AM, 12NOON, 1PM, 2PM(4 Sessions)

Kerrywood Nature Centre features Bird House Making for Children

Drop-in, $10 per child plus GST and parents to be present.

 

12NOON & 2PM (2 Sessions)
Fine Vine (Red Deer) Homemade Wine Demo– Demonstrations on how to make homemade wine with fruit from your own orchard! Paul will be here from 11AM to 4PM.

1PM TO 4PM (With breaks)

“The Corry Boys ” Fiddlers – Some great old-fashioned entertainment is the perfect thing to accompany Open Farm Day! Come on out and see these prize-winning young men!

All Day Long- 11AM TO 4PM

1.“Kids Free Activity: Plant a Strawberry Plant ”

2.Survey Booth – Fill out a survey and get a FREE plant!

3. CoffeeStream – Beverages & Snacks available for purchase!
