Red Deer Symphony Orchestra provides valuable experience for G.H. Dawe after school program and you can help.
Just concluding its third year, students at G.H. Dawe School have had the opportunity to experience many benefits of Music + Explorers, which is an after school program run twice a week by the Red Deer Symphony Orchestra in partnership with the school.
Our Music + Explorers Program provides socially empowered learning experiences for kids, using music (and the arts) as a vehicle.
Started in 2016, this El Sistema-inspired music enrichment opportunity inspires kids to achieve their full potential through exploration of instruments, social development, our community and music repertoire. Children from grades 2 through 5 have an opportunity to get help with their homework, eat a healthy snack, burn off some energy and create music together.
Those interested in this incredibly rewarding opportunity may extend support through Volunteering or Sponsorship opportunities. The kids involved in this program are amazing and the music they create and perform will undoubtedly touch your heart!
