  • Two superb Western Canadian bands roll through Red Deer together on Tuesday. Current Swell (from Victoria) and Close Talker (from Saskatoon) hit the stage Tuesday night at Bo’s Bar and Grill.  Scott Stanton and Dave Lang from Current Swell dropped by a few months back and performed an acoustic version of “It Ain’t Right”. If you’re already a fan of Current Swell then you’ve been waiting for them to come through town again for a long time.

Here’s a couple of versions of “It Ain’t Right” from their latest album “When to Talk and When to Listen” – one acoustic and the other the official video for the song.

Also on the bill is Close Talker,  and indie rock trio from Saskatoon, Canada. Close Talker is a band born and raised in the Canadian prairies, made up of childhood friends Will Quiring, Matthew Kopperud, and Christopher Morien. Since becoming a trio in the summer of 2015, the band has toured extensively and created a sound that is drawing crowds around the world.

You can hear both bands this Tuesday night at Bo’s Bar and Grill. This is one show that’s not to be missed!
